Mine is a BEAST!! I can really open up the lane with mine. It gives me alot of room to the right and no doubt that it will come back.

FC, how is yours drilled??

Well since this is a dull ball and for oil I wanted more of an arc so I went with pin under ring finger and cd kicked out slightly..

I am realy excited to check out "The Xception" I got mine coming..

Mine is drilled pin above and mass bias right of thumb. Where did the mb end up on yours??

As for the Xception, my pro shop operator asked me if I wanted one for $119.00 including drilling and inserts!! I was like HELL YEAH!!

So, mine is on the way too!!

well i bought one used a few weeks ago and it was drilled pin under finger mb near or past val, it was way to front rolly for me with help from the track people at ballreviews.com thats the best part about that site and i plan on re-drilling so it gets some length and back end

The drill you have on that is designed to roll.

If you initially stated you wanted length and backend, they would have said something like pin above bridge and mb just right of thumb. That will get length and flip. If you want more skid/flip, then add polish.

When I have the right combination of oil and backend, the Rule is my go to ball. I've been able to use it for usually a game or a game and a half in my Monday league before I have to put it away and it gets usually more use in my Tuesday league. I have mine slightly polished and I find that the ball usually tells you quickly if the conditions aren't right for it- lots of single pin action...

Just threw mine for the first time last night. I gotta say, I love it. Pin under ring finger with the CG in my palm. The MB is just below the thumb. It was hard to get this drill since it only had a 1 inch pin, but man, i love this layout. Very controlled roll with plenty of drive. It hits HARD. A very good purchase for me. 1st 2 games I shot 224 and 235 (and I have been in a horrible slump). I'm looking forward to throwing it again on Thur.

rule is a very strong ball, needs head oil and dry backends.
if anything less it wont stand out.
