i screwed-up my Ultimate! please help!!

Just get some 600grit wetsand and sand it back down and use the matte finish from ebonite on it.

You may want to go 400grit 1stthen up to 600 or vise versa until your desired finish.

When you say your breakpoint changed, do you mean that the ball is breaking earlier or later now than before?

If it's breaking earlier, I'd try taking it up to 1500 or so, and then going to finer grits until the breakpoint gets back to where it was before.

If it's breaking later, then I'd take it down to 800, and then throw it for a while until it oils up a bit.

well bracket creep, seems like its breaking early, if i could get it back to out of the box finish i would be happy. heck i thought i would be just basicly cleaning and dull the ball alittle but its made a big difference, thank you, ray

Box finish on the Ultimate is 800Grit. Not sure how taking it to 1000 would make it hook eariler, unless you haven't cleaned it in awhile and the cover got pretty shiney.

doc's majic elixir was used on it before i bought it. i did also have it in the luster king for 4 min. but i thrown it so much it never was real shiny. if i use 800grit then the ebonite matte finish i hope it will work but i am a screw up it worked great i tried to make it better :cussing: :pukeleft: :pukerigh: :error:
