I edited my post after I saw your clarification and omitted the part where I mentioned that you guys would probably look at the "Crew" first for any new openings on "staff".

Just thought I would clear that up if someone was wondering where that all came from, lol.

So you guys that are tight with pro shops, you just need to convince them to buy into 8 Jet balls and you're in the crew and next in line for staff consideration. If I understand that correctly.

Exactly Chris! Thanks for posting this as well! To those worried, it is NOT just for pro shops. This is individual also. If you run or are associated with a pro shop (which helps obviously when selling volume) then you can get in on the great deals!

I'm in...You really don't have to be tight with a pro shop to try and convince them to purchase 8 Jet bowling balls. You just have to be a good salesman and just get the pro shop to purchase this great equipment!

I have seen the Jet Ball itself in action and its really smooth off the dry, it's not to sharp, very predictable move.

This is a GREAT Opportunity to become a Staff Member when they have spots available. I joined this to help a small ball company become a major contender throughout the Nation and maybe worldwide one day.

I don't see storm, roto grip, ebonite, columbia, track, hammer or Lane 1 offering these kinds of deals to the avg bowler & I am a Lane 1 SawHead myself.

You can get these sweet deals just by letting Jet know you want to be apart of the Jet Crew. And all they ask is for you to get local pro shops to purchase their equipment. Its a Win Win situation for all who join.

Just to clarify, you do not need to purchase ANY bowling balls. You get FREE product either 2 shirts or a bowling ball if a proshop in your area purchases 8 bowling balls and your name is associated with that sell.

I am getting a bit confused. Chris is saying you dont need to buy balls to be on the crew and Jerod you are saying that we need to buy 8 balls to be part of the Jet Crew. Am I the only one confused by this? LOL! Chris could you please verify this program one more time for the slow people like me? LOL! :)

Pete,

For individuals who do not own a pro shop, they do not need to purchase any balls to be in the Jet Crew. BUT if you DO own a pro shop, you need to purchase 8 balls to get in.

So, as long as Joe blow has his shop order 8, he will still be in the jet crew. in short, you can't say you want to be in jet crew and just start getting free stuff. Someone, in some capacity, has to make an order first. We can't just offer free stuff to people who say "I'm in!"

I appreciate Jerod's ambition to get the product into pro-shops. Here is the real deal: The Spots are limited to approximately 100 bowler.

1. NO Pro shop or person has to purchase ANY product. If you promote the ball and a pro shop ends up buying 8 balls (and your name is mentioned )then you get 1 FREE or 2 Jet shirts. For every 8 balls sold a Free product is available.

2. You have opportunities to test new product and give feedback before the ball is released.

3. Give feedback on bags, shirts ball colors etc.

4. Discounted pricing at $80 on balls. 15% off apparel.

5. Your name, city, state and email (if you would like) will appear on our website.

6. You can void your participation at anytime.

7. Jet will consider the Crew members first when staff positions become available.

I created Jet Crew when I was getting emails from individuals that want staff positions but there was no position available for them. The Crew is for bowlers who are interested in JET and a way for me to offer discounts on product for the first 100 or so interested.

I DO NOT require you to buy any product to part of the crew. I simply offer discount on balls and apparel and incentives for free product. This is not a staff position but provides me a way to scout out future staffers.

This is an awesome opportunity for people to get to throw a new company at a discounted price....I have already bought 5 Jet balls and plan on buying more for myself and my shop......all you need to do is give it a try...if you don't like them, you are not out a mint on a new ball and i am sure you can find someone on here to sell it to and break even....no way can you do that with any other new ball purchases...... so it a WIN-----WIN deal!!!! :headbang:

Via bowling in China is pouring our gear at the moment. For our next releases next year we plan to have a company here in the states pour if the numbers work out.

Once all the spots are filled we will add them to the site!

Agreed. We tried multiple stateside companies even for the Jet but none would pour for us without charging OT fees since most were already pouring at capacity.

But look for a US company pour release this time next year!

The problem with small brands being introduced into the marketplace lies in which distributor in the area carries specific brands. The big companies offer plenty of incentives and discounts to proshop operators and distributors who sell alot of bowling balls, bags, accesories, etc on a daily basis througout the year.

No respectable proshop in my area carries smaller brands like Elite, Lane #1, Lane Masters, Motiv, Seismic, Visionary, etc. Not to say those brands are junk, they just don't get enough exposure to the average bowler who bowls in leagues.

A few people i know who are on staff for Ebonite/Hammer/Columbia & RotoGrip/Storm work in proshops that carry those brands and other brands, but generally push the brands they are on staff with, to gain even more incentives and freebies for the proshop they work at and generally speaking for themselves.

Smaller brands don't even get noticed in my area, i use mostly Seismic Bowling equipment and there is only a few bowlers out of hundreds in my area that have even heard of Seismic Bowling(a very small company from Ireland), poured by 900 Global(Texas USA).

The Jet Crew Program is a great idea, but in order to compete with even the other smaller brands out there, JET BOWLING will have to add more staff members to garnish some exposure throughout the USA. So more bowlers will see the performance from JET Bowling balls.

But all in all any company that provides special deals for individuals is a STEP in the RIGHT direction for us bowlers.

Hope to see more video's online from JET BOWLING, displaying the reaction from Bowlers who are Crankers/Tweeners/Strokers. To see if this company is specifically good for 1 style or all styles of bowling.

There are no specific bowlers that Jet is looking for. This is an opportunity to join a great company and be a part of their Team and possible be a Staffer when positions open up. All you have to do is PM Urb or JetBowling on here and let them know you want to be a part of the Jet Crew and your in.

Again all they ask is for you to push their bowling equipment to pro shops around the area.

MOTIV is still a really small company but the difference between them and the other small companies is that they are all in. They are putting it out there and are being fearless in the way they do business. That is how little guys become Big Boys! If you seen their plant you would still call them small. Especially if you have seen Brunswick and Ebo's facilities. But I agree with you that they will not be small for too much longer.

I have thrown every company there is but these balls are the hardest covers that I have ever seen and they are not "Jumpy" off the dry like a lot of other balls. certainly sounds intriguing. What does it take to Qualify? Is it just an initial buy in? To me it sounds like a great opportunity. I am a military member (getting ready to retire soon) and while i won't be making the pro tour anytime soon....it doesn't mean I don't enjoy destroying pins....i might be able to talk some of the base pro shops into buying some. First I might have to get a ball and start stacking up the strikes....

Wondering if you get individuals to buy balls is there a way they could refer your name. being in the military I could see me getting folks to buy the balls, but not necessarily from a pro shop.....Find it hard to believe you don't have any San Diego Crew members....seems like a large market area.....

Might be fun....I sent Urb a PM about purchasing balls perhaps he could fill me in on the rest.
