First night thrown into the fire with the Blackout

I went to the bowl last night to take my newer stuff by a potential shop distributor in my area-not intending to bowl. Actually, other than a tournament 2 weekends ago, I havent touched a ball in better than a month, intending to take the summer off from league to regharge the batteries. As always, things never work out that way lol.

A friend saw me and immediately asked if I could sub. I told him sure, but dont expect me to be sharp, as I had been taking some time off.

So fast forward, in warmups, I tossed the Blackout, Desperado, and Euphoria. The Blackout was still at 4000 and polish, as I had it setup for another center. Still, it gave me the best look of the 3, on the fresh it was a tad touchy to start, as long as I kept my speed under control it was nice and continous.

Pretty much what I expected, my timing was horrible lmao, quick feet one shot, slow the next...but I worked with what I had, stayed clean the first game for 218. Next game, come out hot front 5, 9/ in the 6th, then next three strikes, then the best time to get slow and miss my target in, 3-6-7-10 open frame for 230 smh...way to blow a decent game lol.

So all this time Im thinking to myself the transition is gonna be stupid, because the other team all was using 80 grit up 10, surprisingly the Blackout ignored the transition until the last part of the 3rd game, normally with the equipment I used before I joined the Seismic staff, i would notice transition at the end of the 1st game.

I struggled through the 3rd game still fighting the timing issues, managed a 195 for 643.

Overall im pleased with that all things considered. One thing I will do for next week is to get a little more surface on the Blackout to get a better look on the fresh, I feel like based on what i saw the last game I can go to the Euphoria and get a better look on that transition. Gonna take the weekend to get my timing more solid, as I definitely left a ton of wood out there from not being sharp.

Gotta say a big thanks to Ryan and the Seismic guys for making such great equipment and allowing me to be a part of the Seismic Staff...it definitely makes me look alot better than I am lol!

I am looking for a 14lb ball on the lighter side. Something with a strong core, and it must be pretty...lol.. according to her..

I purchased a 15lb Storm Marvel last week, and am now leaving more 10 pins then I ever have. The curve from the Marvel is smooth from start to finish for me, but those darn 10's are there none the less. I am a speed dominant around 19mph at the pins and low rev. Do I need to look for a slightly more angular ball? If so what would you guys suggest?

Has anyone gotten a blood blister under their nail from bowling? I get one in my middle finger and I have no idea how it happens. Been bowling for a while now and I never had this problem before. I'm wondering if the finger insert has something to do with it, but my fingers fit about right, not snug but not loose.

Any ideas?

Ball Baking Question.

Hey guys, Recently i have started using my convection oven to bake my bowling balls, I did my Storm Anarchy first just as a tester because if it would have cracked i wouldnt have been as dissapointed as if my frantic or 900 global stuff would have cracked, Anyways im wondering if it would be more of a risk to put something in the oven with a switch grip sleeve in it??, Just wondering if the inner sleeve could take heat like a regular thumb slug could?,

I Wouldnt have tried to bake them because i dont want to crack them but it has worked very well for the anarchy so far, The ball reacted like i just pulled it out of the box and drilled it up the same day,

Does anyone know if a switch grip inner sleeve could take the heat?. Im only turning the oven to 175 and like i said the results have been great so far but the only one i tested was the anarchy, I Baked the frantic too but i have not got a chance to use it on the lanes yet to see how it performs after being baked.
