Re: LordField Talent Skill

nitial review of the Talent Skill

BALL SPECS
Pin Length - 3.2 in
Starting Top Weight - 3.1 oz
Ball Weight - 15# 4 oz

DRILL PATTERN
drilled this one up 75x4x30

BOWLER STYLE
rev dominate, 400 or so rpm, speed at the deck 16.5, 45 degrees of axis tilt roughly, pap is over 5 up 0

SURFACE PREPARATION
Ball is in box finish 500 grit sanded/factory polish

LANE CONDITION
been thrown on two different shots, shot 1 is out house shot, 41 feet med volume, heads hold well, second pattern is a true blue #2 pattern

BALL REACTION 1 to 10, 10 being most overall
Length - 8.5 (the underlying sanded finish gives this a good start up, even with polish over the top
Back End - 9
Overall Hook - 9
Midlane Read - 7.5
Breakpoint Shape - hockey stickish

COMMENTS
Carry - exceptional carry anywhere around the pocket and you are looking at solid hits, ball drives hard and leaves the pin deck without much deflection
Likes - ease of roll,
Dislikes - wrap tens, i tend to have to stay light in pocket to avoid them

overall this is a great Lordfield piece, the roll and hit are exceptional, i will probably change the underlying grit to 1200-1500 to look for that extra 6-8 inches before it makes its move, I want to throw it too long and that polish may allow me to stay with it longer, as our heads go on the blue #2 it gets early and jumpy, the video of the Muse looks like a great compliment to this ball
