Shoe sole maintenance

I have the dexter SST 6's, and need to find out if anyone has a good method of cleaning the soles more than just brushing them and scuffing them up. Basically getting them back to looking new. Any suggestions?

Other than brushing them, no, you will have to replace them.

For the leather soles: I have been using a solution of Dawn dishwashing liquid and water for years. I scrub the bottoms with a toothbrush or other fairly stiff brush while the sole is still attached to the shoe . Otherwise the velcro seems to wear out faster. Then rinse this off with water (keeping the water off of the shoe's uppers). Next, I use a dry cotton terry towel to absorb as much water as possible. After allowing the sole to air dry, I finally brush the nap with a clean brush.

For the heels: I scrape off any gunk with a wide chisel and then use some acetone on a rag to remove the rest of the dirt.

They don't come out like new, but they are much, much better than they were.
