Moving next month looking for leauge

So the one thing I hate about moving is having to find a new team and a new league so rather then go through the first season where I get put on some completely random team with really low averages and end up having to carrying the team I thought I would look here and I say it like that cause last couple times I moved I was high average on my new team by at least 60 pins so to skip that I'm moving to Springfield Missouri and am around a 215 average I would like to get into a scratch league but I'll go handicap if some1 needs a teammate also am not to particular about who I'm on a team with I just want to start on a team with people my age rather than a bunch of older people who just needed a 4th

Just my opinion, but I think it will be difficult to get on a team at this point in the season. I suggest to find a center or two in the area that you like and get on sub lists. That will get you in the door and getting to know people in the league.

Another source is a good Pro Shop. Any good PSO will be able to steer you to the right leagues for your abilities. It's also important get to know the pro shops because eventually you will need their services.

Good luck, if I recall that area is a good one for bowling.

I am in the same boat man. I have a post here looking for the same thing, but I am moving to Indianapolis. It took a long time to find the guy that drills my stuff, and I almost want to just keep buying stuff and have him ship it to me.

I have been getting a lot of "views" on my post, but only one response. So, good luck to you. I hope you have a little better luck than I am having...

Good bowling!

Re: Moving next month looking for leauge

Yeah I'm hoping I can find a good pro shop guy cause I feel like my span is getting short but I have 9 bowling balls to redrill for that and the pro shop I go to gets pretty busy so I don't think he could do all of them before I move in a couple weeks

Good luck over there! Just bowled the Greater Ozarks in Springfield a few weeks back and I liked both Sunshine and Enterprise Park lanes. Sunshine just got all new lanes installed and I think new lane machines, so it was still settling in I think. Very slick conditions, split house, A2 pinsetters and AS-90 scoring. Enterprise played better for me and their food was a little better IMO. They have 82-70s, 12 Strike scoring.

Really that was one other thing I wanted to check out I worked a little bit as a mechanic on a2s when the bowling alley I bowled at needed help I didn't really work there but learned a good bit about fixing different stuff kinda hoping one of the centers might be looking for a part time mechanic
