Let me first say I drilled this just like my Red death and Blue death, the Curve is equally as long as the BD but has more recovery from the inside lines, Where the BD is at home up ten and migrates left as the night goes on The Curve is at home crossing 17 at the arrows out to the 5 or so at 45 feet and making the pocket, pleasantly surprised by the amount of length I got out of this ball, and it took to hand and speed adjustments as well as any ball i have. first two games were crossing 17 out to the 7 board area, with my left foot on 36, the third game I moved feet back right to the 31 area and crossed 15 firmed the speed up and was back in the pocket like I never left, much like the BD this ball loves to be thrown, deceptive in length and didnt see any real over reaction last night, just the right mix of particle to tame it down a notch but enough to let you know its going to make the turn and come back with authority another great addition to the lane 1 line up

COMMENTS
The Curve definitely lives up to the hype. My first impression of the ball is it gets through the front part of the lane nice and smooth gliding to the breakpoint, then a violent Left turn. I also took along the Massacre line to compare to the new Curve. For me the Red Death and Curve seemed to have the same overall movement, except the Red Death would start hooking sooner with less backend. The Blue Death would get more Length then the Red Death but less then the Curve and the Curve would have more overall movement. The Massacre would get similar length, but considerably less overall movement. If you’re looking for something to get through the heads clean and bite hard on the backend this is your ball…
Update: I updated the drilling pattern as my PAP has changed some. The PIN is now 3" from my PAP, the CG is now 3 1/4" from my PAP, and the MB is now 6 1/4" from my PAP. The Curve has continued to be my go to ball, very controllable with a strong bite and awesome pin action. Been scoring very well with it, seems like if I can use it all three games it's definitely gonna be a high 600 or 700. I've also recently threw a 300 with it, and backed it up the following week by almost throwing another only to fall one 10 pin short.
If you are a Lane#1 fan and you don't own this ball you need to get one ASAP. In my opinion it's the best ball to come from Lane#1 since the C/2 core days...

Re: Lane#1 Curve
BALL SPECS
Pin Length - 3 1/2
Starting Top Weight - 2.5
Ball Weight - 15
DRILL PATTERN
Pin to PAP - 4 3/4
CG to PAP - 3 1/2
X Hole (if needed) - n/a
MB Location - In the thumb hole (enhances PSA a bit)
BOWLER STYLE
Rev Rate - 300? (Not sure since injury)
Ball Speed - 16
PAP/Track - 5 1/4 x 1/2
PICTURE AND VIDEO LINKS

SURFACE PREPARATION
Grit - OOB
Type (Matte, Polish, Sanded) - Polished
LANE CONDITION
Length - 38
Volume - Med-heavy inside 15, med inside 10, dry outside 10
Type (Wall, Xmas Tree, Sport) - THS top hat
BALL REACTION
Length - 8 - Nice easy length (responds to changes in speed and axis rotation)
Back End - 7 - a bit more arcy than angular, but unstoppable continuation
Overall Hook - 8
Midlane Read - It didn't overreact in the mids
Breakpoint Shape - Strong arc, maybe a bit more angular, but the light particle load smooths the reaction. Strong reaction to friction as you would expect from a ball with a strong PSA.
COMMENTS - WOW, The CURVE will make your eyes bug out!
Carry - Lane1 baby...makes me look like a cranker!!
Likes - Impressive move on the lanes. Just enough particle to ignore carrydown and keep the back end snap from being uncontrollable. Unbelievable power. I love the color!
Dislikes - None
Other - On our THS I can move deep inside, standing on 42 and send the Curve out to the 13 board at 45+ feet and it just demolishes the rack. If I miss right out to 8, the Curve doesn't burn up and die...it just keeps on coming! The Curve is a good arsenal fit in between the Blue Death and the Red Death.

Re: Lane#1 Curve
I just got mine punched up but havent had a chance to throw it. I will put more info after I get a chance to throw it.
I have thrown this beast! I have to say this ball made me giddy like a school girl. Everytime I let it go and watched it go down the lane all I could do is smile! Revs strong, get down the lane oh so smoothly and then makes a very strong but still controlled move to the pocket. The power at the deck was very impressive.

COMMENTS
Carry - 9.5
Likes - Smoothness. It is buttery smooth through the heads. I just cant believe it.
Dislikes - If I had to put something it can be a little sensitive to speed changes, but even that is very slight.
Other - I am extremely happy with this ball and the layout is perfect for it. 9.5 out of 10!

To me this is a new version of the enriched uranium with the way the ball save's everything for the backend

Re: Lane#1 Curve
I have to give a shout out to MenoRevs for helping me come up with my dual angle for this ball. I hashed it out with him the best reaction and what I was looking for in this ball. So thank you MenoRevs for the help you gave me!
BALL SPECS
Pin Length - 3 1/2"
Starting Top Weight - 3 1/2"
Ball Weight -15lbs 4 oz.
DRILL PATTERN
Pin to PAP - 5", 1/4" above RF
CG to PAP - 5 1/8" 1/8" left of center grip/ 1/8" down of mid grip.
X Hole (if needed) - No
MB Location - In the Thumb hole.
Drill Angle - 80˚
VAL Angle - 40˚
BOWLER STYLE
Rev Rate - 350
Ball Speed - 17≈18 qubica
PAP/Track - 5 3/8 ----> 1/2^
PICTURE AND VIDEO LINKS
I will add once I can get a pic.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Grit - 2K
Type (Matte, Polish, Sanded) - OOB
LANE CONDITION
Length - 41'
Volume - 30 mill 15 to 15, 14 to 5, 25 to 10 mill. 5 out to twig around 5 to 3 mill.
Type (Wall, Xmas Tree, Sport) - THS
BALL REACTION
Length - 9/10 easy length
Back End - 9/10 Recovery from anywhere.
Overall Hook - 8/10 Pearl ball, gets through heads clean and the particle load helps smooth the reaction while taking away that over under from the past particle balls had.
Midlane Read - Smooth, but I went for length in my drill.
Breakpoint Shape - With the MB in my thumb hole, it increases the reaction to the friction, it can be very snappy with fresh back ends, but more of a smooth arc when they are soft. Dry ≈ hockey stick, Soft ≈ Continues arc.
COMMENTS
Carry - As good or If not better then my Cherry Bomb.
Likes - Carry, Length, The room it creates for me on the lane.
Dislikes - N/A
Other - For those that missed out on the pcb or bcb. This Curve is very close to the hitting power you got with those imho. I have them both and they hit like trucks. But the Curve has just as much power and I get more messengers across the lane to take anything out with it then those. This ball is going to seriously turn some heads! Make sure you get yours ASAP. You will not be disappointed you did.

Re: Lane#1 Curve
BALL SPECS
Pin Length - 3 1/2
Starting Top Weight - 3 1/2
Ball Weight -14.4
DRILL PATTERN
Pin to PAP - 4 3/4"
X Hole (if needed) - None
MB Location - 5"
Drill Angle - 65*
VAL Angle - 35*
BOWLER STYLE
Rev Rate - 300
Ball Speed - 12-14
PAP/Track - 4 3/4 over 3/8 up
SURFACE PREPARATION
Grit - Factory polished
LANE CONDITION
Type THS, Kegel #6 (middle of the road)
BALL REACTION
Length - Good
Back End - Hard arc, almost skid/flip
Overall Hook - lots
Midlane Read - good
Breakpoint Shape - Again, Hard arc
COMMENTS
Carry - Great, Lots of messengers!
Likes - His very hard, good on carry down or longer/heavier patterns
Dislikes - can't use more often!
Other - It's too soon to tell on the versatility, durability, and longevity, but I thought many would want to know what I've found so far.The ball is strong. It gets through the heads easily, if there is normal head oil.Very strong in the midlane, then wham! One of the hardest arcs short of true skid/flip that I've ever seen! People watching could not believe the number of boards this ball would cover in such a short period of time! But it's better than skid/flip because it is very controllable.
My feelings are that the ball is best on longer , flatter patterns, or higher volumes. It is great on and ignores carry down. A bit hard to get the breakpoint right on fresh backends, but that could be the layout or my lack of speed.
I have owned several Lane #1 balls, and I feel this is their Cell ! It is that good. Not for dry or mediums(unless they're long mediums),but on heavy, flat, or carry down or for when you have to get real deep and need some finish, this is a winner!
