Another Center Closes

Cherry Hill Lanes (South) has closed it's doors. The 48 lane center was the site of many great leagues and tournaments. Another sad day.

Re: Another Center Closes

Sorry to hear the news. I like that there are new bowling centers going up in our area and some are even recycling older lane materials. Many high schools bus students weekly to our bowling center for their physical education class. I'm encouraged by bowling's growing popularity.

Yes. I should add, they are still operational, but the leagues have sought other venues for next season.

From an outward appearance, owning a bowling center seems simple. It takes unseasoned ownership by surprise to find just how demanding the business can be. The new owners gave it a go for a couple of seasons, but the writing was on the wall almost from the very beginning.
  Thanks from:

I bowled the Detroit 600 Club at the beginning of October of this year and it was sad because the center seemed to be quite run down. I only get over there once a year for the tournament. It looks like a different venue for us in 2018.

Any word if Cherry Hill North is closing?

I heard rumor it was but haven't talked with anyone who would if it had or not.
