Revs Leverage Layout

I have this layout on an AMF Maximum Velocity and I absolutely love the reaction I get with it. I am curious if it is the kind of pattern that will work on different balls. Does it work better on an asymetrical or symetrical, pearl or solid...? Any advice would be appreciated.

4" Pin with 75 degreee Mass Bias - Rev Leverage for High Rev Players

Ball Choice: Pin out 3 to 6", all top weights

Reaction: Earliest Breakpoint, maximum hook potential

Best Condition: Longer patterns, oil carrydown, low to medium RPM players and faster ball speeds

Flare Potential: High

Pin Placement: 4" from the bowlers PAP, located at ring finger height. If PAP is not known, place pin next to the ring finger.

Mass Bias Placement: to the right of the Grip Centerline, below and to the right of the thumbhole (approximately 5" from PAP)

Balance Hole: Place balance hole 6" from center span on a line through the center of gravity, targeting 1/2 oz. Negative side weight. Choose a drill bit size that allows the hole to be 3" deep. (It is acceptable to have less than 1/2 oz/ negative side weight as long as the balance hole size / depth is maxed out at 1 1/8" drill bit and 3" deep, providing the ball meets ABC specifications)

Earliest Breakpoint
is that what you would really want in the cobalt?

i personally think it would cause some over under issues but thats just me.

Re: Revs Leverage Layout

I would personally go with a label stack drill on the cobalt...lots of flare and movement on the backend. I agree with fonz that a rev leverage drill for you would cause over under reaction especially with your ball speed and sideways rotation. Just remember you can buy all the expensive balls in the world and I'll still be better than you, I might break out my LT-48 and go head to head against your cobalt...prediciton (215-190)...and you buy the beers. Ha!

Revs leverage on a Cobalt = bad idea for you Kyle.
Just give me the Cobalt and I'll make everything right in the world!
