bowlers with no thumb...
okay i bowled against a guy last week who threw it with one hand no thumb...my question here is...when he left a 10 pin he would throw a backup ball, remember tho, npo thumb...now i know rules state that you cant start bowling one way and dramatically change it in the middle of play...but wouldnt that be the same thing as me throwing right handed then left handed for my 10 pins???

Re: bowlers with no thumb...
No. As Ryan stated, if he is using the same hand then its ok. That's like you throwing backup with the same hand even if you use a thumb.

Re: bowlers with no thumb...
Yup, it's cool. As long as he's putting fingers from the same hand in the ball dude can throw it pretty much however he wants.

Re: bowlers with no thumb...
I am a lefty who lands on the left foot. I have been working hard to change this so I land on my right foot instead of the left. Would I be able to, mid match, change the foot I slide with? This could be huge!!! HAHA

Yes. Other than probably having to make a shoe change. You can slide on whatever foot you like. Your average is only based off of what hand you throw with, and as long as you're throwing with the same hand, you're good.
