Honey & Boubon Barbecue SauceThe combination of good Kentucky Bourbon with honey makes a great barbecue sauce, the likes of which have been used in the South for longer than people can remember. INGREDIENTS:

PREPARATION: Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes, uncovered. Cool. Store, covered in refrigerator for up to a month. Makes about 4 cups. Use on your favourite meat

He gives you the option of using tomato paste or ketchup and while both are good they each give a unique take on the classic barbecue sauce recipe. If you haven't tried using tomato paste or tomato sauce for that matter, give it a try. You get a richer tomato flavor than with ketchup. INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Place all ingredients in sauce pan except the onion and garlic. Put onion and garlic in a blender and liquefy. Mix with the other ingredients in the sauce pan. Heat until boiling over low heat, let simmer for 20 minutes Barbecue Sauce BaseWhat to make your own perfect barbecue sauce? Try this base to get you started. This recipe will give you a good, thick tomato sauce that you can then add the flavor you want. INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil in a saucepan. Cook until transparent. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper, paprika, mustard, and tobasco. Mix well. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add tomato sauce and vinegar. Let simmer for an additional 15 minutes. From here you can add whatever flavor you want. Brown sugar, honey or molasses for a sweet sauce. Chilies and cayenne for a hot sauce. Really, whatever you like.
Cornell Barbecue Chicken SauceThis is the famous sauce devised at Cornell University's Farm Home Extension sometime in the 1950's. INGREDIENTS:

Robert Marshall's best ever BBQ SauceThis is a good, thick and sweet barbecue sauce. By using tomato paste instead of ketchup, as most sauces do, you get a unique tomato flavor that really makes this sauce stand out. INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Mix all ingredients and simmer at a low temperature for about 1/2 hour or until honey and sugar and butter is all melted and mixed. Classic BBQ Rib SauceIf you like a rich, thick barbecue sauce on your ribs, then this is the perfect one for you. By using tomato sauce and tomato paste instead of ketchup you get a much better flavor. INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Cook minced onion and garlic in olive oil until onions turns opaque. Add remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly and allow to simmer 20 minutes. Makes about 1 1/2 cups
Alabama White Barbecue SauceThis traditional Alabama Barbecue Sauce is based on Mayonnaise and not tomato sauce, vinegar or any of the other traditional barbecue sauce bases. Like many barbecue sauces you want to apply this only at the very end of your grilling or smoking. It will breakdown and seperate if it is heated too long. Use this barbecue sauce on chicken and turkey. It is also good on pork. Alabama White Barbecue Sauce has a tangy flavor that is a great addition to grilled foods. INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION: Mix ingredients together and refrigerate for at least 8 hours before using. Brush lightly over chicken, turkey or pork during the last few minutes of grilling. This barbecue sauce is also great as a dipping sauce so set some aside before you start grilling to serve on the table
